Visitors

You may have already read our “About Us” and know a bit about us.  If you have not yet read that section, we invite you to do so.  Below, and on menu tabs, is additional information to help you gain a deeper understanding of us and to know what to expect when you visit.

Parking:  We have two parking lots.  The visitor’s lot (lower lot) entrance is off of Belle View Blvd.  The second, or upper lot, is between the first and second houses on Bluebill Lane, which is the first street to the right after you turn onto Belle View Blvd. from Fort Hunt Road.  Overflow parking is in the Community Center across Belle View Blvd. from the church.  You can also park along Bluebill Lane.

Entering:  When entering our church from the main doors located by the lower lot, a greeter will welcome you and direct you to the sanctuary where we worship, or to the lounge if you arrive early and would like to sit somewhere besides the sanctuary.  They can also direct you to the church office, nursery and restrooms.

As you make your way to the sanctuary, an usher will greet you and hand you a bulletin and the worship  booklet for the day.  You may sit where you wish, however, feel free to ask the usher to guide you.  Also be assured that you can turn to any of our members who will be glad to help you with questions you may have during the service.

Dress:  We do not have a dress code so please dress comfortably.  We welcome YOU, not your clothes.  You may see an occasional suit and tie, but most people dress in the same attire they would wear if they were visiting friends or a local restaurant.

We enjoy and welcome children at worship:  Children are important in the life of our church family and we enjoy and welcome them at worship.  We recognize noisy children and crying babies for what they are – gifts from God and signs of new life for which we give thanks.

There is a children’s time during the worship service when they may come up and join the other children for a special message from the pastor.  Activity bags are available for their use during the worship service.  We also have a children’s nursery near the sanctuary where, if you desire, you may either sit with your children or leave them with one of our professional nursery attendants.
